The power of prayer

I have just been freaking myself out by messing around with my blog and backgrounds and things, so much so that I nearly lost everything! However I sorted it out and I have decided to keep it simple from now on...

Can I please just ask everyone to pray for those in Haiti at the moment I'm sure you've all heard about the earthquake. I pray to God, but I don't mind who you pray to - never underestimate the power of prayer. And help out any way you can.

hello kitty and a huge card.

hello everyone!

i was so happy to check my computer this morning and see 2 posts from lily of Pixie Dust and Rose Petals! it is one of my favourite blogs and it made me, and im sure many others, smile, as it is one of my favourite blogs, so cute and imaginative.

i had a wonderful morning this morning, the sun is shining and i can see summer is on the way!:) as i was sleeping in my lovely warm bed, dreaming of being a princess in a sunny, far away land, my dad came in with a huge package from Taiwan! i realised it was a lovely present from my buddy Minnie, who stayed in New Zealand for a few weeks, and i looked after her for a while when her group was at my school. she is such a wonderful wonderful friend, and even though i just met her, we could talk about anything, laugh and take silly pictures on her camera:) she is back in Taiwan now:( and i miss her a lot, so it was wonderful to receive a huge, beautiful card with fun pictures of us and a message on it, plus an adorable Hello Kitty pencil case! i love it so much and i must remember to send her something equally as special!

i have been very busy at the moment, studying for practice exams which are next week! i must be off to the library later to study study study! there is oh so much to remember.

also, my handsome prince had a accident at the snow, and was in hospital for a while but is now back on his feet, and smiling again:)

i joined a youth group on friday nights and it is so much fun and very inspiring.

oh, well, i must be off now

A Quick Hello

oh dear i forgot to mention in my last post who i got the sweet tag from! it was from the gorgeous Raspberry Jam and Maple Syrup, the one who got me started on creating a blog in the first place! sorrysorry

my family have all gone off to watch my brother and sisters play sport while i am stuck at home to dream...it gets a bit lonely, but it is quite peaceful really.

yesterday i got a jacket from my aunty that used to be hers - it is lovely and warm and looks like Bella and Alice's jackets on Twilight! :)

oh by the way do you all like my new header? made on paint, but filled with lovely inspiring pictures that i adore, plus my favourite singer, taylor swift.

i have been feeling a bit small lately - i am not popular at school, im actually the "smart" girl but it gets a bit horrible sometimes when that is all people see you as, and refuse to get to know you a little better; preferring to leave me with a label. anyone else get that? im sure a lot of people do. it is a sad part of life.

oh well i have to go, lots of studying to do that will leave me exhausted and more than ready to crawl back into my warm bed...oh and i might experiment with my hair a bit...:)

Seli. She may live two hundred and...something kilometres away, but is my absolute closest best friend ever!
when i see her we scream and laugh and act totally crazy, and don't even care who's watching! (even when we're in the middle of the mall lol). i can tell her anything at all. even though she moved about 3 years ago, we have not lost contact at all (we email, txt, whatvever everyday!). we share a crazy obsession with mags, blogs and twitter, TWILIGHT, jonas brothers, taylor swift music, and heaps more!!! And, in response to her brill blog post about me, i can tell you all of that is true! :)

Easter and a birthday

A couple of days ago it was my little sister's 6th birthday, and after school that day, she had an easter themed party with 9 of her little friends!! she was very spoiled and received so many pink and sparkly gifts! mum also made lots of easter themed birthday goodies for all the pink-clad little girls. bunny shaped fairy bread, lots of chocolate, fruit kebabs, mini easter eggs...& a cute pastel coloured buttercake in the shape of a colourful easter egg :)

yay school is finished for 2 weeks! i'm looking forward to 2 weeks of laziness (ok, i still have to learn my drama work, and get my learner licence at long last!), because i have been working ever so hard for the last 10 weeks and we all deserve a break!

A rose for me...

i feel very loved today :) i was given a rose this morning by a very special someone, and my bag looked beautiful and smelled like roses as it's pretty petals rose out of the bag pocket. it was so sweet.
i don't have much time to say much more...my homework is piling up and waiting for me!

Starbucks and science!

hellooooo ;)
today has so far been relaxing, sad, and yet happy haha. my days always seem to be sad and happy. well i had a day to myself today and so i vaccumed the house this morning, which i hope will put a smile on mum's face. then i walked to town, but it was a bit sad because i was by myself for most of the morning, and then i decided to try a Starbucks...and since i never have had one i never realised how small the short one was for it's huge price! So there goes half of my pocket money. haha. oh well. though it was actually tres delicious and creamy ;)

after a while i went to a place that always makes me happy - the library, funnily enough. after i got a few books, i headed back home, only to spot two of my friends! we walked around for a bit and that was cool, and then i headed home. my feet are very sore!
then my aunty txted and took me and her kids to a science open day, so we walked around for a bit, and i played with my gorgeous, sweet little 1 year old cousin (she sucks her thumb, and is always smiling, and laughing - she always plants a smile on my face ;))

not the most interesting day for you all i suppose! but i felt like writing it down anyway.

i'm running out of internet so i must go now!

Teardrops on my guitar...

today was a very happy...but also very sad day for me. if that makes sense. the lyrics of Taylor Swift's beautiful song "Teardrops on my guitar" seem to sum up the sad part of my day - the lyrics having been swarming in my head all day like a hive of bees!

on a happy note...i spent a wonderful afternoon with three (which became 2) brilliant friends at the shops with no money, and tried on these beautiful dresses that we couldn't afford...then took pics of us in our dresses of shimmering gorgeousness and i altogether had a sparkly time - being with my friends always makes me smile ;)

Random musings

is it just me, or does my blog seem strangely materialistic? it seems it to me, what with all these OMGs and exclaimations over t-shirts and actors... i think i should have a more classic approach in my blog, like, little musings, gorgeous pics and little things about my day that most people forget to relish and enjoy, like the sun rising while you're curled up in bed in the morning, curling up by the fire in winter, or even writing a poem. i think that is what i will go for from now on, because i can't seem to keep up with the whole product promotion thing!

to begin i will show you a picture of some of my jewellery in the beautiful jewellery box i inherited from my great-grandmother...i took it a couple of months ago looking for inspiration:
